It is known that BS had been experiencing a fever since September 12, with symptoms of red spots that developed into lesions. His condition worsened and he was admitted to the Meranti Islands Regional Hospital on September 17. However, BS died three days later, on September 20. Meanwhile, Zu, who was also being treated, has now been discharged.

In addition to the two, 17 other students are undergoing isolation due to close contact with BS. However, activities at the Islamic boarding school remain normal.

“The Islamic boarding school remains open. We are isolating and monitoring only those who have had contact with the virus. However, we must remain vigilant, especially when in contact with strangers or new people,” Widodo said
